Today we are exactly two month from the upcoming 21st Conference on Cultural Heritage and New Technologies starting on November 16, 2016. Preparation has started for quite some time, now we go for the intensive phase.
Many authors have sent their abstracts for all the set-up sessions, Wolfgang has – with the help of the scientific committee – condensed them all into a quite inspiring programme. The first registrations arrive…
Just the right moment to start our conference blog! We – that is Wolfgang and me, Susanne – want to let you participate in the preparations, give you some surprisingly insight views of our work and the conference, introduce ourselves and all the people working with us and help us to enable the conference again.
We will inform you in regular intervals about people, sessions, upcoming events & dates, how it all began…
Hoping you will follow us up to the opening of the conference in November and give us lot of feedback and input for new ideas for the future conferences.
Stay online and enjoy reading the CHNT conference blog!
Wolfgang BÖRNER: after studying prehistory and classical archaeology in Graz and Vienna he started 1990 at the Urban Archaeology of Vienna. In 1996 the idea of CHNT was born and since this date he organises the conference every year.
Susanne UHLIRZ: after studying surveying and cartography in Berlin and Vienna and working as assistant and lecturer in TU Vienna, University of Applied Science Wiener Neustadt and Carinthia she started 2004 at Urban Archaeology Vienna and was involved from the very beginning in the conference organization, just in time for the 10th conference in 2005. She is in charge for the exhibitors support service and all the technical stuff and does the layout of the e-publication of the proceedings.
